The snap gun was developed decades ago to allow police officers who were not skilled in the art of lock picking to open locks with minimal instruction. Rather than opening locks by the traditional raking techniques it uses a needle protrusion from the front of the gun that snaps in an upward motion when the trigger is pulled., this force causes the pins to bounce upwards off the needle causing them to occasionally clear the shearline. With a simple tension tool (supplied) held in the lock, and a gentle ‘turning pressure’ applied, this ‘clearing the shear line’ allows the plug to turn and the lock to open Comes complete with three needles and tension tool.
