With a long battery life, waterproof and a world beating GPS tracking system are required this slim GPS tracker ticks all the boxes.
When it comes to vehicle tracking this versatile GPS tracker can be placed in numerous locations on a vehicle both inside and outside, on many vehicles the slim-1850 can be slid behind a number plate in a matter of a few seconds, behind or in the glove compartment ,behind a seat making it the tracker of choice for rapid deployment.
Although this tracker has a small profile it boasts an excellent battery life of up to 10 days in normal tracking mode, this can be greatly extended buy using some of the different tracking modes available to this tracker.
Normal Tracking Mode: This is the most common mode that is used. Your tracker will simply sleep when not moving, it will keep the GSM module on, but turn off the GPS module, this also saves power. Once the tracker moves, it will turn on the GPS and track live every x second or minute.
Eco Mode: This mode will set the device to cycle through sleeping and updating its GPS position every X hours. To give you full control over the extent to which your device maximizes battery life, you are able to choose the length of sleep period. Once the device enters a period of sleeping, it cannot be manually woken up before it is due to wake automatically. To return the tracker to its normal state, simply click “Exit Eco Mode” from the Commands interface.
This mode can drastically improve the period of time your tracker will remain active for.
Flight Mode: This will set the tracker to sleep for a chosen period of time, regardless of its activity. This can be useful when saving battery life is a priority. The device will then wake once its period of sleep is over and begin to operate as usual.
Please note, once put into sleep mode, it is impossible to manually wake the device again before it is due to wake automatically.
Park Mode: Once this mode command has been remotely sent to the device, the PCB will switch off. When the board moves it will switch back on and track every x seconds. The board will automatically switch off after 120 seconds of non-motion, this is a default setting that can be changed. This mode again increases battery life. The normal tracking mode will only be accepted by the PCB when it’s in a motion state.
